When it comes to handbags I am definitely guilty of just buying neutral colors. I am sure many of you are the same way too. It’s just so hard to spend money on a bag that you think isn’t going to match everything in your wardrobe, ya know? As of today I am making a promise to myself that my next bag WILL be a color, preferably a bright one! Khloe Kardashian was spotted at Los Angeles International Airport on Sunday carrying her beautiful blue Hermes Birkin. I would personally kill to have this bag, but I don’t see myself killing anyone in the near future, so that will leave me with the task of finding a colorful little wonder on my own budget. Bright bags are so fun and bring such an awesome element into your look. The majority of my shirts and sweaters are actually neutral shades, so a colorful bag will fit right in. Here’s a look at some of the bold and brightly colored bags that I love!
First is this Coach Classic Leather Madison. This lime green color is incredible! This is definitely the bag I want the most out of this set. The vintage style makes the powerful color completely acceptable and, oddly enough, somewhat soft. Bright green is an ideal shade to me. It looks great with everything and blends right in with other colors, including fellow green hues. I know I want this bag, but whether or not my wallet wants it is another story!
This little MICHAEL Michael Kors Charlton Crossbody Bag in Electric Pink is precious! Pink is such a fun color to wear and it really gets your girlyness going! Crossbody bags are one of my favorite styles because they are so easy to carry. The smaller size of this bag would do a good job of keeping me limited with what I stick inside. The gold detailing is beautiful and goes great with the warmth of the pink. I would recommend this bag if you are afraid to jump into color with a larger tote. This little beauty keeps the color on a smaller level but doesn’t sacrifice cuteness by any means!
Now we have a beloved Kate Spade bag. This particular one is the Portola Valley Kaley in mauve. The size of this handbag is perfect! I love being able to wear a bag on my shoulder without it being up under my armpit or down at my butt. The purple is bright but still keeps itself on the down-low, so it’s another option for the scaredy cats out there. The gold chain detail on the straps adds a great touch to a fairly basic purse. It’s hard for me not to pick this little baby to add to my collection. Kate Spade bags hold such a huge spot in my handbag heart!
This Cambridge Satchel Company 14″ Leather Plum Satchel is exclusive to ASOS, so it’s one you would have to order of their website. With that being said, it is such a pretty bag and so worth it! I love the blue purple color and the satchel style! I actually am carrying a Kate Spade that is almost this exact same look. Unfortunately, it’s black. This would hold a great amount of stuff, but the structured leather won’t leave you with hours of digging for a stinkin’ tube of chapstick!
This Bradshaw Colorblock Clutch from ThreadSence.com is so funky and chic! This is the perfect pop of color on a neutral piece. Envelope clutches like this are great for sliding in important items and carrying on a ladies’ night out! I just can’t get over the neon pink and orange! They take the clutch to a whole different level. I might just have to add this one to whatever other bag I chose to get. This is another option for those of you that are hesitant to bright color. It’s an easy way to slide in some brightness and not feel too out of your comfort zone!
